This map image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.It is recommended to name the SVG file “Democraticprimary2008alternate.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter. |
Summary
| Description | Cartogram of the pledged delegate count in the 2008 Democratic presidential primaries (United States). Data from this wiki article. Purple for Obama, green for Clinton, orange for Edwards, grey for unassigned delegates. This graph is grouped into states "won" according to the delegate count; for the three contests where the delegate count was tied, MO and GU go to Obama and NH to Clinton. Another version is available where the states are grouped geographically. NOTE: This cartogram is intended to reflect "election results." It reflects delegate changes that occur in states where delegates are selected through multiple events (e.g. Iowa) but not delegate changes that have occurred in other states where bound delegates have indicated an intention to vote otherwise at the convention (e.g. New Hampshire). |
