File talk:Doomsday Clock graph.svg

Nice graph. I think it can have an even stronger visual impact by inverting the y-axis so that '0' is on top and higher levels will mean higher tensions. --Tdadamemd (talk) 04:31, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

I agree. Also because the minute hand of a clock moves upwards (yes, and also to the right) to reach midnight. It's more visually understandable. 195.24.44.116 19:50, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

First square

Why is the first square red? The first square is at the initial setting of the Doomsday Clock, so it might be either green (because of neutrality) or blue because the clock could before have been at midnight because of the nuclear attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Can somebody change the square to green or blue, please?

I think it's best to mark it as neutral. I choose grey instead of green to prevent misunderstandings. Green might be associated with positive. -- Maklaan (talk) 16:01, 26 January 2015 (UTC)
Ah, very good. Thank you. --80.108.153.176 18:13, 26 January 2015 (UTC)

January 26, 2017 2.5 mins to midnight

Thanks for fixing the colors. Not sure why my SVG came out so screwy in the thumbnail but proper in the expanded view. --Torqtorqtorq (talk) 02:39, 28 January 2017 (UTC)

Y-axis needs reversing

The graph loses impact by inverting its y-axis such that times of high danger are low on the graph, and vice versa. Arguably, since the graph is in "minutes to midnight", the numbers should be negative and the y-axis inverted (relative to the present format) by default. --Plumbago (talk) 09:33, 30 January 2017 (UTC)

2018 error

The line from 2017 dot must starting from the right not from the bottom. Need to be fixed.  Preceding unsigned comment was added by 93.145.2.43 (talk) 09:40, 4 August 2018 (UTC)

Missing the 2025 change

On January 28, 2025, the Clock was moved to 89 seconds. This change is not shown in the image. An update would be appreciated. Cipriano123 (talk) 10:01, 23 June 2025 (UTC)

Register, then click on "Upload a new version of this file" in the "File history" section. (I think this can be done also by new users but if not somebody else who is not completely new here would have to do that.) Prototyperspective (talk) 09:22, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
