Replace with optimized

{{editprotected}} Please replace with File:OptiCommons-logo-en.svg. Palosirkka (talk) 07:26, 12 September 2012 (UTC)

 Not done Sorry many users have concerns about your optimization (read your user talk page). Wikimedia logos do not need to be optimized and most are not under free licence (which means you should not modify it). --PierreSelim (talk) 06:03, 12 October 2012 (UTC)

Invalid

Repair suggestions based on prior fixes by Rillke for similar issues with Creative Commons SVG logos:

  1. in SVG source line 1 remove attribute standalone="yes", because this would require a homebrewn inline DTD
  2. in SVG source line 5 replace "Wikimedia Logo" by "Wikimedia_Logo" to get a valid NMTOKEN (xml:id)
  3. on the protected file page add {{validSVG}}
  4. on this talk page disable or remove {{invalidSVG}} and {{edit request|technical=1}}

Meaning

Someone know if this logo has any sort of meaning? E.g. Why the blue arrow is concentrated in the middle red dot (why it's red?) and then it goes up? --Valerio Bozzolan (talk) 10:42, 2 February 2017 (UTC)

Before Commons existed every language of Wikipedia (and of each sister project) had their own file storage. There was much duplication of files and effort, and improvements/cleanup was messy. The red circle represents the central repository that is Commons, with each wiki/project contributing files, and all (the thickest arrow) using the files on Commons to further the various project goals. What is the font used here?

@Pumbaa de do you know what the font used here is? It looks similar to the font used on other wikimedia logos such as Wikidata, Cloud Services, Wikimedia Chapter logos, etc. Thanks! AHollender (WMF) (talk) 23:32, 11 November 2021 (UTC)

Maybe I found the answer here, Gill Sans? https://foundation.wikimedia.org/wiki/Visual_identity_guidelines/Archived AHollender (WMF) (talk) 23:33, 11 November 2021 (UTC)

. If this were a logo of a non-WMF entity, and not copylefted, we'd upload and tag it as such. JayCubby (talk) 20:58, 25 November 2024 (UTC)

I disagree that this is simple geometry, and if it were a non-WMF entity, I would most likely delete it. Bastique ☎ let's talk! 21:04, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
