File:Shield of the Trinity diagram - language-neutral concept.svg
Description |
Concept of a relatively "language-neutral" version of the "Shield of the Trinity" or "Scutum Fidei" diagram of traditional Christian symbolism (though obviously Hebrew script is used at the center). There are simplistic/minimalistic symbols of the persons of the Trinity in the three circles around the edge (i.e. the "hand of God", basic Latin cross, and descending dove of Holy Spirit), while Hebrew names of God (YHWH Elohim) are in the center node. A somewhat similar idea (though much more decorative and keeping all the original Latin labels) can be seen in the file Windows.pdf downloadable from http://trinitylawrence.org/resources/ (see also File:Jhwh landa.jpg for the use of the Tetragrammaton in the center node). See File:Trinity Symbole St. Ann's Church DC.JPG and File:Eglise Saint-Samson, Bobital, Côtes d'armor, France, La Trinité, rosace, facade ouest, 5685.jpg for similar symbolic concepts, but not forming a Shield of the Trinity diagram. For discussion and explanation of the basic diagram, see the main article Shield of the Trinity. |
