Summary
Description |
English: Number of glacier advances per 50yr period within the Common Era. Based upon 275 glaciers worldwide. Because of the heterogeneous methods and evidence among the reviewed papers, the number of advances should be regarded as as approximate only.
Based upon Olga N. Solomina et al. Glacier fluctuations during the past 2000 years. In: Quaternary Science Reviews. 2016. DOI, figure 5. Solomina et al. selected 275 individual glaciers and regional summaries that were best-dated and had the most complete time series. They prefered those that spanned the full Common Era. |
