Colors schemes

Officially, the colours of the Icelandic flag follow a law set in 1991 which states that the colours must be the following Standard Colour of Textile (Dictionnaire Internationale de la Couleur) hues:

The government of Iceland has issued^[1] colour specifications in the better known Pantone, CMYK, RGB, Hexadecimals and Avery systems.

This image is in the public domain in Iceland because section §49 of the Icelandic Copyright law specifies that images not considered to be "works of art" become public domain 50 years after creation (details).
