Source ?

Are there sources of this map. I think this map was created by personal claim of the uploader User:Yerevanci. Takabeg (talk) 10:09, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

He seems to have confused territorial claims with distribution of the population. As it is, the map is misleading in every single count. It mixes territories actually controlled, claimed, or settled by Greeks, and not all of them either (the Cappadocian Greeks are missing, and there were many communities in the Caucasus, S. Russia and what is now southern and coastal Bulgaria). Constantine 09:21, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
Not to mention Sicily and southern Italy (Magna Græcia), the south of France (Marseille), colonies like Naukratis in Egypt, etc.—and arguably the whole of the Hellenistic world from Nile to Indus. Tkinias (talk) 02:11, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
