"Two Step, March and Cake Walk". This interesting march was composed by a woman, Eugenie E. Boniel, with a tragic story attached. Musescore's Erlingl found the following information about her: She was a talented young woman playing the piano, composing and leading an orchestra in New Orleans. She was born there in 1871, but drowned tragically in 1916 in an accident in St. Louis Bay Mississippi. Her husband managed to save their children. “No better woman lived”! The little girl, Hermina Ochs, in the front page was born in 1899. She died (m. Silverman) in 1983. This march was published by Louis Grunewald in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1900. The cover credits two additional pieces by this composer, "Anniversary Waltz" and "Elks March to the South". Original score source was from Tulane University at this link: https://library.search.tulane.edu/discovery/delivery/01TUL_INST:Tulane/12434653180006326 This is a reproduction of the original score. Thank you to Erlingl for finding, suggesting and researching this score. Score #296 in my series "Women Ragtime Composers": https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWv_HHmWjvjVZnE2aBjiNbznXkmrtT5XD
