The Flick page now says that It is the users responsibility to secure permission from the copyright holders for publication of any materials. Permission must be obtained in writing prior to publication. Please contact the Cushing Memorial Library for further information. It is possible that the original CC BY license was invalid. This image was uploaded back in 2011, based on the license terms for it then on the Flickr site and that was verified at the time. The CC licenses say they are irrevocable, but I am not a lawyer, and can't say what that means in this case. I would just point out that Commons contains vast numbers of images downloaded from Flickr that rely in the same way on the license terms posted on that site at the time they were downloaded.--agr (talk) 18:00, 13 June 2025 (UTC)
