• {{AWMM}} – Used to provide a standardised institution identifier in the |institution= field of {{Artwork}} and related templates.

Rights Template

• {{AWMM}} – Describes sharing institution as part of batch uploading project, to be followed by a copyright template invocation.

Collection-Area Templates

These templates are used in file pages to display structured metadata. Each wraps {{Artwork}} and extends it with fields specific to Auckland Museum’s three collection areas:

• {{AWMMHumanHistory}} – For Taonga Māori, Pacific collections, Archaeology, Social History, War History, Applied Arts & Design, and World collections.
• {{AWMMDocumentaryHeritage}} – For books, manuscripts, photographs, ephemera, and artworks.
• {{AWMMNaturalSciences}} – For Botany, Entomology, Land Vertebrates, Marine, and other associated specimen data.

Usage

These templates:

• Display structured metadata clearly and consistently
• Work with upload tools like OpenRefine, Quickstatements and Pattypan
• Allow blank fields without breaking layout
• Follow Wikimedia Commons metadata conventions
