as discussed with Alfred Neumann in a serie of emails in 2024, september (SUBJECT : "Rép. : [Ticket#2024083010006735] Wikipedia * VRT * Rabia Djelti picture permissions (File:Rabia Djelti - Rangement du néant.jpg)"). The original author of those books and covers explicitely asked me to edit the page and upload those images.

I believe this would be sufficient? I'm not sure what sort of expectations Commons has for stuff like this. Questionable claim that the uploader is the mother of the person depicted in the photos. Files are a lower resolution than would be expected for photos from a person who had taken the originals. An IP user on the English Wikipedia added them to the subject's biography shortly after they were uploaded, having been working in more depth on several other articles over the past few days.

This file is frequently misidentified and mislabeled as "Zhang Zuolin with his insurance squad". However, it is actually a well-documented group photo of Chinese colonial police (Polizeisoldaten) under German rule in Tsingtau (Qingdao), circa 1900s. The same image appears in multiple German-era postcards clearly labeled "TSINGTAU - Chin. Polizeisoldaten", and has no historical connection to Zhang Zuolin. The miscaption is misleading and promotes misinformation about modern Chinese history. and I have found several alternative versions of this photograph on other websites, including a German Empire-era postal stamp, a local Qingdao historical archive, and a postcard listing. This image was discussed above and ruled Kept, but in my opinion the building and its architecture exceed de minimis, with significant elements shown in fairly high resolution, infringing on the creators' copyright. I wouldn't be opposed to blurring the building though the photo would be a lot less useful (maybe still valuable as a streetscape).

 Delete File:Ron Arad exhibit Centre Georges-Pompidou 2008.jpg because it shows a museum exhibit. Putting something around the chair is probably copyrightable given the 'paradise' example at COM:TOO#France. The picture doesn't show any copyrightable parts of the building, though.
 Keep File:Roof terrace of the Centre Pompidou, Paris 2010.jpg because the picture doesn't seem to contain any copyrightable works which aren't de minimis.
Not sure about File:Panorama Tour Saint-Jacques Nord.JPG. It seems to be a panorama shot of a large area, but the picture seems to be focused a lot on Pompidou Centre, which appears in the middle of the picture.

Regarding File:Beaubourg 09 2016.jpg which I am the author of, the main subject is the street juggler, the Centre Pompidou is in the background. You will notice that the right part of the photo is blurred. This is deliberate (a tilt-shift lens was used) precisely to show what is the main subject of the picture. In my view, this is acceptable. Having said that, this picture is released in the public domain, so feel free to do whatever you want with it. --Albert Bergonzo (talk) 08:47, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
This shows a lot of the building's facade, especially the circular walkways, and 2/3 of it is sharp. This is a high-res image, so the image could be cropped closer to the juggler to eliminate more of the building. lNeverCry 09:26, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
I agree with INC that the juggler image it is unacceptable as it stands. I suggest you crop off the top third and appropriately at the sides and upload the crop directly over the existing image. That would probably be acceptable. The closing Admin would then remove only the existing image, leaving the crop.

  •  Keep all files published or created before the law was enforced... Or shall we burn the books and films which were made before the law was voted? In my opinion the law applies from the date it was enforced and all earlier materials should be preserved. The legislation has surely been drafted to prevent an iconoclasm. If the image was created or published before the enforcement of the law, so it is published in all legality. If a third party uses the file after the legislation was enforced, then the third party may be guilty of an offence depending on the usage, but not Wikimedia. This may require a change in the wording of the copyright by Wikimedia. Please do not delete images which were created or published in all legality. Hello, Of course, this flag is similar to the flag of the Netherlands, and the flag of the Boer Republics was influenced by it.

Out of COM:SCOPE. The uploader has created hundreds of these 600x400 px icons - some of which are inspired by specific teams but most of which are just generic colors in various stripe orientations. They're unused and have no clear value.

I skipped over the ones that are in use - some wikis use fake flags like this as stand-ins for copyrighted logos - but in those cases the flags are created for a specific need, while in these cases they seemingly are created just so there are options if some hypothetical use were to come up in the future.

As an aside, VisualFileChange sometimes gets use counts wrong. If any of these are in use anywhere other than List of 3:2 ratio sports flag icons, please just strike them through.
