A derivative of a logo (slight color change(?)) above COM:TOO. {{Logo}}-copyvio (t) Josve05a (c) 03:10, 7 March 2017 (UTC)

Simple Gaussian function, same as in File:Gaussian 2d.png
I do not think one can copyright the shape, which follows a math equations derived long time ago for eigenvalues of L-shaped membrane. So how close can we get in the presentation of the function and not step into copyrighted territory? When 9 years ago I created this image, I chose my own colors, rotation angles and reflectance parameters, which in the end resemble Matlab logo. I think that is withing the guideline of Commons:Fan art. If the issue is that it is not far enough, than I can change the the function or parameters to look less like it. For example Gaussian function in the image is a very different shape with similar color. I can pick other shapes which are closer. --Jarekt (talk) 05:10, 7 March 2017 (UTC)
