File:Dressed for summer.jpg
Description | This dapper gentleman was striding toward the north-side 72nd Street subway entrance in Verdi Square. You don't see many men wearing "old-fashioned" hats in New York CIty, but this was obviously chosen for the shade that it provided on this hot, sunny mid-day ... his shoes, khaki pants, and striped shirt also reminded me of an earlier time. Maybe businessmen still dress like this in mid-town Manhattan, or down in the Wall Street area -- but it's very uncommon in this residential area of the Upper West Side. | ||
