I am asking for help to rename several photos of mine. It's just I was under a lot of stress when naming the photos. I want to rename the photos in order of time I took it.

But what is the purpose of circular moves like this? The names will still convey essentially the same information, but anyone who has referenced a particular file will now be referring to the wrong file. - Jmabel ! talk 21:23, 10 June 2025 (UTC)

Can the two old versions of the picture (19:41, 1 August 2022 and 19:30, 24 July 2022) that are not actually this picture (and likely not free) be deleted? @ChemSim: I certainly do not have enough rights to make the move, that's likely admin-exclusive at the moment. I wrote a template into the file page, but every time I tried to make the filemove myself, I get:

Error while moving the page.

  BTW, I saw that Leo's script is (cannot) be perfect... Something like File:Explosions in different areas of Tehran following the attack by Israel Mizan 13 June 23.jpg is not actually depicting explosions, but only their aftermath and a damaged building.   Do you really want to discuss why we not name countries after the political orientation of the current government? File names need to be simple and unambiguous. Political orientations are per definition not simple. This would create endless discussions if we should rename File:Official Presidential Portrait of President Donald J.   Personally, I do not want Commons or any other Wikimedia project I'm engaged with to transport and perpetuate propaganda of any actor that is opposing Western values of liberties and freedom. The outreach of these files with "Zionist" (meaning an antisemitic undertone) on Commons has to be diminished, fortunately, our guidelines and policies allow that.
