Precautions of use
- Not all Mayan languages have been reported, names in the picture are groups of closely related languages (mutually intelligible) often with the same name.
- The separations are theoretical reconstructions based on grammar and vocabular differences of today's language as well as phonetic hints from Classical Maya inscriptions (IV-Xth centuries).
