English: A silver dirham of the Arab-Sasanian type minted in Darabjird by the Umayyad governor of Basra, Samura ibn Jundab, in AH 53-54/672-673 CE.

Obverse: Replica bust of Khosrau II; behind Khosrau's head reads AFZUT GDH ('may his kingship increase' in Pahlavi), while before his head reads SMRA Y / ZUNDAPAN ('Samura ibn Jundab' in Pahlavi); in outer margin, 'bism Allah' ('In the name of Allah' in Kufic Arabic script).

Reverse: Fire altar with ribbons flanked by two attendants; in upper left field, six-pointed star; in upper right field, crescent; to left, date; to right, DA (name of the mint in Pahlavi). "DA" represents the Darabjird mint.
