File:Flag of Comecon.svg
This flag seems to be cheating like a fake news. There is no proof that it ever actually existed. There are no sources for proof of its existence. The only source is referring to http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/int-come.html, where it was indicated that the identical figure was created in 2000, 9 years after Comecon ceased to exist. Similar doubts have been reported on ruwiki: https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Обсуждение:Совет_экономической_взаимопомощи: Фейковая «эмблема СЭВ» В статье представлен флаг с эмблемой в виде звезды. Нет никаких доказательств, что такая эмблема или флаг реально существовали или были утверждены СЭВ. Скорее всего, это какая-то дизайнерская разработка, ставшая популярной в позднейшее время. Fake "SEV emblem" The article presents the flag with the emblem in the form of a star. There is no such evidence that such an emblem or a flag actually existed or was approved by the SEV. Most likely, this kind of design will be popular at a later time. Ency (talk) 16:55, 18 April 2017 (UTC)
Keep: Even if this were a completely fabricated flag/emblem, we’d still need the image to provide illustration for reusers wanting to document the hoax/mistake. -- Tuválkin ✉ ✇ 19:40, 18 April 2017 (UTC)
Keep: Bulgaria, a member of this organization printed a stamp about this organization an we can clearly see an emblem of this organization. Crazymanball (talk)
Comment: User:Ency states that the «only source» indicates that this emblem was created in 2000. Well, that’s true for the FotW-ws image (which, by the way, was co-authored by me: António Martins-Tuválkin, at your service), but it also informs us that «This image is based on a image in the Grollier International Encyclopedia published in 1991. Sérgio Horta, 27 May 2000». This is a typo ("Grollier" instead of "Grolier") for one of the alternate names of the en:Academic American Encyclopedia. That’s the source. Was it mistaken? Maybe, but then we should keep this image as the erroneous Comecon flag/emblem as reported by this reputed source. -- Tuválkin ✉ ✇ 19:40, 18 April 2017 (UTC)
